齐心协力 | qí xīn xié lì

Ahead of the anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to mainland China, Xi Jinping visited an exhibition organized by the HKSAR government. While going through the exhibition with Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, Leung Chun-ying, Xi noted that sticking with and continuing to promote the “one country, two systems（一国两制）” policy would preserve Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability, as well as create opportunities for an even better future. As Xi entered the main exhibition area, a display showing a figurative heart glowed red, symbolizing the people of Hong Kong and mainland China’s “one heart beating to the same tune” — or, as the Chinese would say, 齐心协力.
