The Carnegie Tsinghua Center for Global Policy, the Beijing center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is seeking to hire a Development Coordinator. This position will report to the Center Director for the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy.
The Development Coordinator position supports the fundraising and development efforts at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center, through close work with the Center’s Director and staff, as well as Carnegie’s development team in Washington, DC, to help develop and execute effective strategies for securing gifts of regional support; plan and execute development meetings and events in strategic Chinese cities; and provide support for the development solicitations with the aim of meeting Carnegie’s annual revenue goals.
The position requires native or near-native English language speaking and strong writing skills with one-to-two years of related experience. A background in fundraising and grant writing is preferred. The Candidate should have an interest and/or background in international affairs, and an awareness of China’s foreign policy making environment and key global issues. The ideal Candidate should have experience taking the lead on projects and a demonstrated ability to work well with others in a cross-cultural environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is professional, detail-oriented, extremely well organized, and capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple deadlines.
