How a Chinese Government Document is Born–Dr. Yang Xuedong (中文)

October 17, 2016 @ 17:30 - 18:30

Free
Join us Monday evening, October 17, from 5:30-6:30pm at the Center for Strategic and International Studies for a lecture (in Chinese, of course!) by the Central Committee Central Compilation and Translation Division‘s Yang Xuedong on “How a Chinese government document is born.”

While China analysts tend to spend their days focused on the hot-button policy issues of the day, from maritime disputes, to anti-corruption activities, to SOE reform, it is worthwhile to take a step back and look at the nuts and bolts that make up China’s policy process. The Central Compilation and Translation Department plays an important yet little known role in the production of official Chinese government documents. Dr. Yang will talk to us about how this works from the inside. RSVP early, as space is limited!
