The Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy, the Beijing Center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is seeking to hire an Operations Coordinator. This position will report to the Director of the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy in Beijing.
The position’s primary responsibilities will include: management and oversight of day-to-day operations; managing the center’s budget and finances and providing support to the Carnegie finance team; management of the Young Ambassador’s Program; and serving as the point of contact for Carnegie’s human resources, information technology and library departments.
The position requires native or near-native English language speaking and writing skills, one-to-two years of related experience, and a strong proficiency in Chinese. A background and/or degree in business administration, and experience with bookkeeping and accounting are preferred. The candidate should have an interest and/or background in international affairs, and an awareness of China’s foreign policy making environment and key global issues. The ideal candidate should have experience taking the lead on projects and a demonstrated ability to work well with others in a cross-cultural environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is professional, detail-oriented, extremely well organized, and capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple deadlines.
